Offering in-person and online training for healthcare professionals with subjects
focused on human trafficking, suicide prevention, implicit bias & trauma-informed care.
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has revised its standards for human trafficking training and is requiring all previously approved courses to go through a new approval process. As a result, my course, In Plain Sight: Confronting the Human Trafficking Crisis in the Dental Setting, will remain approved through March 12, 2025. However, beginning March 13, only courses listed on the HHSC website will hold official approval.
I fully intend to resubmit my course under the new guidelines and will work through the process to regain Texas HHS approval. In the meantime, I am still available to deliver this essential training for continuing education (CE) credit. While the course will temporarily not be HHS-approved, it remains a comprehensive and impactful resource for healthcare professionals committed to recognizing and responding to human trafficking in clinical settings.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience as I navigate this process. Thank you for your continued support. I will provide updates as soon as they become available. If you have any questions or would like to schedule training, please feel free to reach out.
